Tooth achingly sweet offering the perfect combination of a brownie and cookie.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookie
Prep: 10 minutes
Bake: 12 minutes
Yield: 1 dozen

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup powdered sugar, for coating

1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and white sugar. Beat in butter. Add eggs one at a time, until fully incorporated. Mix in the vanilla.
2. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture just until a dough forms. Cover bowl with wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
3. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F. Line 2 cookie sheets or baking trays with parchment paper. Roll dough into small ball. Generously and evenly coat each ball of dough in confectioners’ sugar and place onto prepared cookie sheets.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. The cookies will come out soft from the oven but will harden up as they cool.
